April, Europe, Jet lag

Wow. I can't even believe it's already April.
Where is time going?
I'm not complaining in the slightest bit though of course.
I'm having mixed feelings about Summer as it draws nearer.
I'm excited, but anxious. Happy, but sad.
Confused? Me too.

Europe was well, nice.
I had a really nice time but I found myself wishing daily I had stayed home.
It was very tiring and quite frankly, I feel like I need a vacation from this vacation.
Which explains my staying home today.
Europe, to me anyway, is very lonely at night and in the morning.
I go to bed without the people I love, I wake up without them.
The days are long and busy which doesn't leave much time to feel sad.
I think I could have enjoyed it a lot more if Jake and my family were there.

There are so many things that are different there.
Accents, driving on the opposite side of the road, pay phones, money (£1 is equal to about $1.60 in American money). Basically, everything you buy there is almost twice as much in US currency. I got some nice clothes, a purse, and some jewelry.

The pay phones took me days to figure out how to make local calls and after finally figuring it out I called Lorna. We talked for about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, she had plans later that night and I was told to try again later and possibly meet up that night. I called several times and the line was busy. :(

This morning Anna was getting ready for school and I layed there in bed at 7:30 am because it felt like the middle of the afternoon for me. I decided to get up because I couldn't sleep any longer and I straightened her hair for her. When she left for school I decided to upload pictures from my trip, and have been on the computer ever since.

I'm determined not to completely waste this day. I need to take a shower, unpack, clean my room, finish up on school work, do my chores, and prepare myself for school and soccer tomorrow.

My scanner isn't working so I'll have to upload the lovely polaroids I took this weekend I guess. If your interested in viewing my pictures you can go to my flickr:

or i have even more pictures on facebook, in 2 seperate albums that are found here:
