School went by at a reasonable pace.
There was supposed to be a soccer game tonight at 7, away at Dickinson.
When school let out I was told our soccer game was canceled due to the brief rain we were having at the moment and the heavy showers that were coming in the next hour or so.
I was so unbelievably excited and relieved.
I had errands I needed to run inbetween after school and the game anyway, but now I had the rest of the evening to myself as well.
I drove home and picked up my shoes for prom and then back to the dress shop so the woman could mark my dress so she knew where to hem it.
Yesterday we went to this little store and I found one that I didn't completely hate, it was good enough for last minute.
However it was huge on me, me being a size 4, and the dress being a 10.
The sweet woman told me she could take it in for me and make it my size.
So yesterday she marked it with pins where to take it in and today when I went to put it on so she could fix the length to my surprise the dress was already finished.
It was a huge relief considering yesterday I was feeling iffy about it, not to mention its hard to decide if you like something when it's falling off of you.
I put it on and I actually really like it. It's a long, straight dress and it's coral pink.
Afterwards I went next door and purchased a boutonniere for prom for Jake.
Then the Wawa next door and I bought Jake and I lunch like I said I would.
On my way there he texted me and said he was on his way to the tux place so I got gas and went home. I waited until he texted me to tell me when he was on his way home.
I was a little hesitant on going over there because before I was just going to stop by on my way home and my mom would think I was still out running prom errands.
However, after I was already home and Bruce had already seen me and talked to me I realized I couldn't just leave.
By the time Jake texted me it was pouring outside and I was afraid of getting in trouble by leaving to drive to Jakes, even though he lives right down the road.
I asked Bruce if it was okay and he said yes so I went over there around 4:30.
Jocelyn showed up too and we all shared the subs and after Jocelyn left Jake and I just talked until I had to go home.
My mom called me as I was turning into the neighborhood and I thought she'd be angry but she was actually completely fine with it which was surprising, but I'm not complaining.
Not a bad start.
This is going to be a reaaallly good week, I can tell.
